Description
This groundhog shooting target was part of a series printed by US department store, Sears Roebuck & Co, circa 1950. The series included jack rabbits, turkeys and raccoons sold for rifle practise. The Woodchuck Groundhog is target no. 8. Forget the notion of shooting anything – it’s a graphic piece of vintage paper ephemera that comes straight off our wall onto yours.
We picked this up whilst exploring a cavernous indoor flea market in Manhatten. It’s in pretty good condition with just a bit of a water damage in the top right left corner.
Groundhog shooting target presented in a black frame with a hand-cut mount and black backing board.
